Data is transmitted over a secure SSL connection. Electronic material is protected within a properly secured service. Only persons employed by the data controller who need the data in their duties have access to it.
10. Rights of the Data Subject
The data subject has the right to inspect what personal data concerning them is stored in the register. A written, signed inspection request must be sent to the person responsible for registry matters. The inspection right is free of charge once per year. The data subject has the right to request the correction or deletion of incorrect or outdated data, or the transfer of data to another system. They also have the right to restrict or object to the processing of their data in accordance with Articles 18 and 21 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The data subject has the right to withdraw their previously given consent to data processing and to file a complaint with the supervisory authority concerning matters related to the processing of their personal data. In Finland, the supervisory authority is the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (www.tietosuoja.fi).
The data subject also has the right to prohibit the use of their data for direct marketing purposes.
